Improve Existing Glass Without Replacing the Windows
Solar Control Window Films provide a practical way to improve the performance of compatible windows, façades and skylights. Different films offer different balances of solar-heat reduction, ultraviolet protection, glare control, visible-light transmission and appearance. The correct film is selected according to the glass type, orientation, building use, daylight requirements and desired level of solar control.

THE GLASS CHALLENGE
Sunlight Through Glass Can Create Heat, Glare and Interior Damage
Exposed glass can allow substantial solar energy into a building. This may create warmer perimeter zones, excessive glare on screens and displays, increased ultraviolet exposure and additional demand on the cooling system. Large east- and west-facing windows are often particularly affected during Bahrain’s long cooling season.

Thin Film That Changes How Solar Energy Passes Through Glass
Depending on its construction, the film reflects or absorbs part of the incoming solar spectrum. This reduces the amount of solar heat and ultraviolet radiation transmitted through the complete glass system. Different films also provide different levels of glare reduction and visible-light transmission, allowing the performance and appearance to be matched to the project.
